MUSIC FESTIVAL

Next to the village, from 7:45 pm of Saturday the 26th of June, five Nordic bands will play on a stage in front of the Sforzesco Castle.

THE PROGRAM:

HANNA TUOMELA - Finland

Hanna is a talented musician from Helsinki, now currently based in the busy streets of Milan for her musical studies at the Conservatoire. Her background is heavily classic, but her interests range from electro to alternative pop: with the help of a piano and a beautiful voice she’ll kick off the festival presenting her own compositions!

THEA HJELMELAND - Norway

With delicately carved songs, served with a bewitching voice and extraordinary artistry, singer/songwriter Thea Hjelmeland has enchanted the public from her native land of Norway to her current home in France. The stories she sings with the accompaniment of a mandolin, a ukulele, a banjo and a guitar have that extra bit of soul that goes straight to the heart and disseminate its melancholic grace.

HELLSONGS - Sweden

You have never ever heard music, originally that heavy, performed so gently and with such big heart. Hellsongs is the live act that makes both the teenage punkrocker, your mother’s brother-in-law and your grandparents nod their heads with a smile on their lips!

POWERSOLO - Denmark

Powersolo is heavy trash out-of-control, a trio that created their own genre of music called “Donkey Punk”, a combo of rockabilly, country, blues and surf mixed with punk rock. And if this sound doesn’t allow you to loosen up and deal with all the baloney in the world, have someone check you for a pulse!

WHO KNEW - Iceland

Surrounded by vintage wallpaper and burned out cigarette buds the band has defined their music as layers of trembling guitar and synthesizer melodies overlapping with falsetto voiced multi vocals from all of the band members. Produced with a very full sound their music is akin to Phil Spector’s wall of sound.

At midnight the festival will move to one of the city’s leading club, the Rocketfor a big aftershow party, where some of the most promising Nordic DJs will perform!

So far, the following acts are set to appear behind the mixer:

GET DANCY! : Get Dancy! is a Oslo based indie club dedicated to making people dance to feel good indie and rock hits. Since its debut a little over 3 years ago the club has quickly become a favourite at the Oslo indie and club scene. At Ragnarock DJs Simen and Kris will play a selection of the best Nordic indie with some international hits in the mix.

Ung Flugt: Johanne and Najaaraq, long-time friends and big fan of electronic music, are one of the most interesting DJ duos in Copenhagen. Their talent and passion brought them to play the best Danish clubs, and they’ve performed abroad in Germany, Italy, Norway and Sweden. They’ll get you up and dancing with girly techno, house, tech house and melodic minimal.
