RAGNAROCK è un’associazione culturale non profit nata a Milano nel 2007, con il fine ultimo di arricchire la nostra società attraverso lo scambio di idee tra Paesi differenti, prendendo ispirazione da altre culture ed utilizzando l’arte, le relazioni internazionali ed il gioco come strumenti di dialogo.

OBIETTIVI

- Stimolare lo scambio interculturale e promuovere le “best practices” di ogni Paese

- Promuovere e sostenere giovani talenti provenienti da differenti culture all’interno di un’identità europea comune

- Agevolare un rapporto di profonda e reciproca cooperazione tra organizzazioni italiane ed internazionali, sia pubbliche che private

IL RAGNAROCK NORDIC FESTIVAL

Dal 2007 l’Associazione Ragnarock organizza il più grande festival nordico in Italia, il Ragnarock Nordic Festival, che si è imposto fin da subito come punto d’incontro tra Italia e Paesi del Nord Europa, costruendo ed implementando un esclusivo network di contatti in un’ottica di scambio reciproco all’interno di un’identità Europea.

Dibattiti politici ed economici, fotografia, musica, teatro, cinema, happening ed arte in generale sono gli strumenti con i quali Ragnarock si propone di coinvolgere fasce sempre più ampie di popolazione, attraverso una rete di eventi legati da un tema comune.

Ogni anno Ragnarock si fa portavoce di tematiche sociali attuali e rilevanti, prendendo ispirazione dalle soluzioni dei Paesi Nordici e stimolando idee, confronto e proposte in Italia.

CULTURE|FUTURES - Design, Fashion, Food and Innovation in the newly born Ecological Age

WHAT: CULTURE|FUTURES - Design, Fashion, Food and Innovation in the newly born Ecological Age


In occasion of the 5th edition of Ragnarock Nordic Festival, Ragnarock Association, together with the Danish Cultural Institute and with the support of Milan Municipality, organizes a conference in order to face the challenge towards the development of design, fashion, food and, in general, innovation in a more sustainable way.


MAIN THEMES:

  • the importance of addressing changes in attitudes and life styles; with focus in how cultural industries and institutions could foster these changes toward the new environmental challenges;
  • how public and private institutions can implement internal processes that lead a more sustainable economic advantage and create new situations and creative processes;
  • discuss and compare the experiences from the Nordic Countries and Italy on sustainability to increase knowledge and the interest in sectorial and interdisciplinary cooperation;
  • the promotion of the best practices brought by Nordic Countries to spread the combination of environment (sustainability, innovation and culture) around the world.

Ragnarock aims to promote Milan as a benchmark in design, innovation and sustainability in preparation for the major challenges of EXPO 2015.
